I just realized when I looked at when my first emails were sent/recieved that I have been working at my job at my school for over a year.
Tis a pretty rad job, I like it much.
After getting lunch at Panda Express, I finish eating my main course and move onto the fortune cookie. The funny part is I thought to myself, “better be a good one…” as I am opening it. So I pull it out and it says:
You will soon make a long, overdue decision
I then think to myself, well wow, thanks! There are tons of things I’ve thought about doing for long(ish) periods of time. It’s funny how fortunes are somewhat specific, but not really. Kinda annoying if you ask me.
I then just started thinking about that comma after “long.” Is that supposed to be there? When I read it, it makes me sudo pause at the comma, then move on. I’d rather just read it “long overdue.”
Eh whatever, I don’t really believe in these things anyways. I just thought it was funny.
Once again I didn’t go home most of the weekend, regardless of the fact that I was in San Diego. Just slept at other peoples places. It’s not that I don’t love home, it’s that I’m usually a 15 minute drive away from home when I’m out with all the friends.
My good friend Zac turned 21 this past week and so naturally we partied this weekend. Quite a party over at his brothers house. Lots of best friends / good friends / friends / old friends / random people. Which all of that usually causes drama, and it did. Yet I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life is just that exciting.
Recently I’ve come to terms that I’m really young, and could take advantage of life more, so I am… and it’s going great. I’m actually really happy in light of a few recent personal events in this last month of September. Septembers have been like that for me the last couple years… just kind of an odd month. Either way, life is exciting and so worth living, regardless of anything that comes up. Good things make you happy, bad things make you sad, it’s a cycle. An awesome cycle.
Oh yes, I purchased a 2006 Scion tC 2 weeks ago. I love that car.
School starts today. I’m happy that everybody is around again, not happy to be doing school. That’s life for ya. This is yet another year, and just like the rest, this one will be different. I don’t know specifically how… but I suppose it’s time for change again.
Here is another post of a “change” theme…. Whew
Unwritten Law, a band that I have listened to for years is playing at my school. For Free. Wow, I’m really quite shocked. One year Common played there for free and that was quite a good concert. This is a huge surprise to me for a couple reasons. Unwritten Law just came out with a new album, they are very popular, and they are playing at my school, for free.
Anyways, I’m going. More details follow the linky –> Cal Poly Pomona BroncoFusion 2005

I have now found the time to write about the blaze in my suite building this last weekend. Well okay, it wasn’t really a blaze, yet there was smoke! The alarm went off at about 1 am… right in the middle of a movie Kristi and I were watching. We at first thought it was a drill, then saw our pissed off Hall Cordinators face and thought that there was either really a fire, or somebody had pulled the alarm.
There was a fire. It was a small electrical fire as far as I know, no real damage. So we went outside and signed in and sat around for awhile with all the rest of the people that were at school for the weekend. Minute by minute tension rised as two fire trucks pulled up and firemen entered the building to take care of it. There wasn’t that much smoke, yet enough to notice from a distance. We were all kinda worried, yet you wouldn’t be able to tell. Some people were playing with a football, some taking pictures, and the rest of us were just talking amoungst ourselves.
Once that was done Kristi and I walked around to see if we could see anything. While walking outside Kristi saw one of the locks the firemen had cut off of the chains that keep cars from going on a street behind the building. She was to scared to take it, so I did! I decided to take a photo for memories sake. So that was one exciting thing that happened over memorial day weekend.
On a side note, Kristi’s kat, Moo has passed away. Rest in peace Moo.
Because Angela is just that awesome, she gets her own post right now. This is a video from a long time ago when we went to The Arcade Fire concert at the Troubadour. Twas a wonderful time.
Without further ado… I give you Angela flicking my head
*I think the movie is working now… it’s an AVI, let me know if it does not work*
I had Panda Express today for lunch, and this is what my fortune was today:
You shall soon achieve perfection
SWEET!
Oh yeah, add “in bed” to the end of that one.
Hey, this is my office at school! I got an iMac over there which is my current favorite running OSX Tiger. (unreleased beta) Then I have those other two monitors which is a nice and fast WinXP setup.
This has been my first really heavy use of a Mac, and I’m loving every bit of it. Especially this new OS. I really want to pick up one of those Mac Mini’s pretty soon here and get OSX Tiger on it aswell.
Anyways, just wanted to show off my desk… hehe
