I realized that it has been quite some time since I have posted anything. I’ve been quite on the busy side. It goes like this: work, school, work, school, work some more… weekend = goodtimes away from the computer most of the time.

This week was quite on the wild side for me and I enjoyed it all. Lets do a day rundown again just because I like making lists.

Wednesday: Worked then off to San Diego. Met up with friends (Daniel, Zac, Josh, and I) and went to the Jason Mraz show at SOMA. James Blunt opened for him who was way awesome. (more music later) Made it back to Josh’s place eventually to fall asleep.

Thursday: A day of creating costumes. Daniel and I were working on his Waldo costume which turned out awesome on Friday. Just hung out most of the night, watched Batman Begins.

Friday: A day of finalizing costumes then off to the night… Party party party. Awesome times with all the friends. (I’ll try to find pictures but I didn’t take any) I could tell many stories of this night, but that would take to long for me to type, so I’ll just say, it was wayyy fun. On a side note, I was Raoul Duke, played by Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Saturday: Relaxing until about 3pm when I was finally able to get up and head over to the spa with Sean. Met up with Zac for some dinner then off into the night again… There were two parties we went too, both kinda odd in there own ways. I drove us to each and watched all the great costumes around SDSU. We headed over to a friends by the the stadium then eventually all back to somewhere to sleep.

Sunday: Watched the Chargers beat Chiefs with Sean, Lucas and Cameron as usual on gamedays. Then I head off back up to Pomona. I get to my apartment and spend enough time unloading my car and getting ready to go to the next thing: We Are Scientists at the Troubadour. Awesome show, sooo happy I went. I headed out to Hollywood alone but remembered my friend Randy lived out there so it was cool he came to the show with me. I really like those guys and expect them to get big soon. I actually like them so much I have bought the cd from the UK since it isn’t out until January here; I also bought a shirt last night. :)

Well that’s the short version. Overall I’m enjoying all my times away from the computer, which seem to be alot. Have a happy Halloween!

So far here we go.

Thursday - usual goodtimes on a thursday night hanging out with friends.
Friday - Trip to Newport, took some photos, awesome. (they’ll be up soon) Then headed down to San Diego to hangout with a bunch of friends the rest of the night.
Saturday - Wake up, Cameron, Sean, and I decide to head up to have lunch in Laguna Beach. Way fun eating good food and being in a beautiful place. We then head back down to San Diego in some traffic. Watched the end of the very intense USC vs. Notre Dame college football game. USC won, yes!

Which brings me to right now. So I’m gonna go head out into the night and enjoy an awesome evening in San Diego.

Pictures to come.

Apple video iPods

There is now new iPods out. Some good points..it also comes in black!

It has a 320 x 240 pixel, 2.5-inch, 260,000 color display, 20 hours of battery life, and supports playback of H.264 and MPEG4 at 30 fps. Has TV out and will come in both 30GB and 60GB versions, with the 30GB version being 31% thinner than the current 20GB iPod and the 60GB version being 12% thinner than the current 20GB iPod. The 30GB will hold up to 75 hours of video and retail for $299. The 60GB version will hold 150 hours of video and sell for $399. Both will ship in one week. from: engadget

Take a look at list of features
I’m quite glad that I bought the Nano when I did, even though I knew I wanted a 60gb iPod. I told myself I would wait until Christmas, so that turned out for the best. The whole “video iPod” thing has been circling around for a couple months. Including hidden features withing iTunes 5 for video. [side note: iTunes 6 is out]

Related releases: the new iMac G5 with the Apple Remote and FrontRow which is a new way to manage your media . Looks pretty cool, I would like to see it in action.

Overall a good week for Apple releases…

Waiting…

I had been waiting… for a couple weeks for this to come out. Mainly because Ryan Reynolds was awesome in everything that I have seen him in. I was also looking forward to it because Dane Cook has a little small part in the film. I like this movie for a variety of reasons. One, it’s really funny. Two, it turns one day in a resturant into a whole movie, and it’s still funny. You may argue there is no clear story, who cares? It was entertaining and that’s what movies are supposed to do. For that I love it and I recommend you go watch it.

Google Reader = Rad

Google ReaderIt seems as today (or I noticed today) Google Reader has launched. It your web based feed reader powered by google, ajax, and awesomeness. All you need is a Google Account. So if you already have a gmail account you are all set.

I setup a couple feeds and it’s really quite a nice web application to use. The only problem I see with Reader is Google is so huge, what about other companies that are trying to put out a good feed reader? [ex: feedlounge.com] This reminds me of ODEO creating a really great podcast service… but then iTunes releases a new version supporting podcasting right around the same time ODEO launches. I’m sure feedlounge and ODEO will do just fine because they are run by great people and are great services, yet I think it kinda sucks when a large company comes in like that.

Either way, go checkout Google Reader beta

**UPDATE**
ALSO, read the comments, cause this reader isn’t all that rad to me now. I thought it was… but it’s not. For a couple reasons, mainly because it works weird.

Here's to the Mourning

Unwritten Law - Here’s to the Mourning

I love this album, so much. I started listening to it a bit before they came to my school for free (which was one of the funnest shows I have been to) and I can’t help but listen to the album every week now. It reminds me alot of their last album,Elva. Every song is awesome. Some of my favorites are “Get Up,” “Save Me,” and “She Says.” All goodies along with the rest of the album.

Now a little less about how I love it, and more about how it sounds. The first thing I noticed is that lead singers (Scott Russo) voice had changed a bit from the last album. Not bad, just sounds like he’s been singing alot, or something. The album is mostly pretty hard rock, but there are a couple slower songs and radio singles. This album just became my new favorite Unwritten Law album. Oh, I didn’t even mention that they are cool because they are from San Diego, which my friends and I yelled alot at the show.

Wild Weekend

Once again I didn’t go home most of the weekend, regardless of the fact that I was in San Diego. Just slept at other peoples places. It’s not that I don’t love home, it’s that I’m usually a 15 minute drive away from home when I’m out with all the friends.

My good friend Zac turned 21 this past week and so naturally we partied this weekend. Quite a party over at his brothers house. Lots of best friends / good friends / friends / old friends / random people. Which all of that usually causes drama, and it did. Yet I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life is just that exciting.

Recently I’ve come to terms that I’m really young, and could take advantage of life more, so I am… and it’s going great. I’m actually really happy in light of a few recent personal events in this last month of September. Septembers have been like that for me the last couple years… just kind of an odd month. Either way, life is exciting and so worth living, regardless of anything that comes up. Good things make you happy, bad things make you sad, it’s a cycle. An awesome cycle.

Oh yes, I purchased a 2006 Scion tC 2 weeks ago. I love that car.
