Happy Halloween(er)

Well happy halloween to all of you. I did pretty much nothing for Halloween, well except go to the San Diego Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders game today. Which was pretty awesome since there was tons and tons of Raiders fans and the best part is, we destroyed them! It was a really good game for the Chargers. Brees (the quarterback) was passing and making plays extremely well and the Raiders fans were getting angry. It surprised me to see that the Raiders fans out-numbered the Charger fans by alot, and it never fails that Raiders fans get violent. I don’t know what it is about them, they just seem to get violent in the crowds.

That was my fun times with Daniel, Eileen, and Tiffany, and it was Daniel’s first football game. The funny part is he has been to his fair share of Padres games, and I havn’t been in our new park yet.

Other things? Hung out with friends yesterday, and today I now have The Killers “Somebody told me” as my ringtone. I’m stoked.

By the way, I have alot of photos that I will be putting up shortly once I go back up to LA and do it all on my other computer. Should be up by Wednesday.

This website scored 7.8/10 in Silktide SiteScore

I was just over reading Binary Thoughts and found SilkTide SiteScore It is a site that rates websites on Marketing, Design, Accessibility, and Experience. There is also a user rating, yet I don’t have one.

So I decided to try it out and here is what I got: 7.8 Overall Score I was really surprised to earn more than a 5. I guess I’m doing okay. I was actually really excited to see that I received a 9.7 for the Design category.

Steven Swain has given a very nice shout out to me over on his weblog : stevenswain.blogspot.com I thought to myself, thanks very much Steve. It started out when I found he had linked my SinCity Fan Site and so I left him a comment saying thanks. From there he commented back and then gave me a post worth of his time. here So here is my post to give him some linkage.

Here was my favorite part…

I’m one of those introspective, non-threatening, geeky, safe as milk types. Think Linus and/or Franklin from the Peanuts comic strip. I drink some, but I don’t do drugs or smoke.

My Day of events, yesterday.

Yesterday was quite the eventful day for myself, in good and bad ways. Lets start off with my accounting midterm. My class is at 6, so I went and took the midterm. It was quite a hard midterm, nonetheless I got through it. Then upon finishing my midterm, I walk for about 10 minutes in the rain. I’ve had a cold for the past week almost and it was no help to walk through the rain for an extended period of time.

Then a good thing happened, I found out my sister (who is a senor in highschool) earned a freaking 4.027 gpa on her report card. I was like, wow. I didn’t ever get that so cheers to her!

Medicine for the Cold

Sickness sets you in to a world of withdrawn retreat.
Modest Mouse flowing from the speakers.
What about the good news for people who like bad news?
I just have a cloud over my face.
Can’t see the world is faded.

Rock to the many noises in your clogged ears.
Not exactly clear, not exactly muddy.
The cold monopolizes on you, your sight, hearing, tasting, feeling.
Leaving a numb feel of the world.
No control over what you feel, how you may perceive.
What mood is there to be in except that which is available?
High treason on your own head.
You chose to not fight back

Just the numb world now.
I need my medicine and music.
I need this cold to pass.
I will be better when I get my medicine.
My medicine is you.

I have one of those darn colds and just decided to write. My head is all cloudy. There is a couple different themes in this here piece. The reader decided what he or she decides to see.

The Big Lebowski

Last night I watched The Big Lebowski for the first time. I don’t know why I havn’t seen this movie before because it’s such an awesome movie. Now pay attention to why I say it’s awesome. The movie does not have spectacular cinematography, or even that great of dialogue, but what it does have is an awesome story. A story that is so bazaar you almost wish it had happened to you, or maybe not.

It’s the characters that you love in the movie and their interaction with each other. The “Dude” (Jeff Bridges) walks around in haggard clothes drinking white russians, which he refers to as “caucasians.” Then there is Walter (John Goodman) is always dressed like he is ready to go hunting and is always shouting off references to Vietnam. Then there is Donny (Steve Buscemi) who never really gets to talk all that much except for when Walter tells him to “Shut the F#*& up” It’s really a beautiful trio of disfunction. The whole movie is filled with random scenes following a “story” yet to tell you the truth, there is not much of a plot.

When it comes down to it, after you have watched the movie, you will think “Wow, that was a cool movie” yet you won’t really know what it was about.

Bad Company
Bad Company,
originally uploaded by construct.

Check out this awesome poster I just made using the the Rasterbator which is just plain awesome. I’ve used it a couple times before and it’s just a cool tool. (cool tool?! why did I say that?) Anyways, that Bad Company poster is about 2 feet x 2 feet. Recently this week I’ve been listening to the classic rockers Bad Company and they are just plain awesome. I’m hoping to find a shirt or make one pretty soon here if I can’t find one.

Oh also, this is my 101’st post. Yay!

Billy Talent : Billy Talent

Let me tell you, after listening to these guys this summer, and then just getting the cd again, it’s hard to stop listening. These guys are intense and just plain awesome. On top of their awesome music, they have awesome music videos over at the bands official website, BillyTalent.com

A few of my favorite songs are “Line & Sinker,” “Try Honesty,” and “River Below.” Don’t get me wront though, all the songs are good. The lead singers voice is intense and unique that make the music even better. They just have that “awesome band” feel to them. Look out for them, they are touring in Canada right now, I hope they come to the US soon.

If you don’t feel like droping 11 bucks for the cd, go over to their website and listen to their music their, then come back here and buy the cd. If you are into bands like Thursday, Thrice, Sum 41, Unwritten Law, and the likes of them, then you will really want to check out Billy Talent.

One day I’ll see you standing there.
One day I’ll know what I want.
One day I’ll see the rain fall and we will be together.
One day we will lay by the warming fire.
One day we will see past each others eyes.
One day we will lay in each others arms.
One day is one day ahead of today.

A poem while sitting here looking out into the rain.
